Printable job aids¶
Single-page cards, each printing on one A4 page. Two sets: one for the people using InteLIS, one for whoever looks after the machine it runs on.
Open a set and select Print all cards, or print a single card from the browser's print dialog by choosing its page number.
For the lab¶
Seven cards covering the viral load workflow. Pin the relevant ones at the workstation they belong to.
| Card | Covers | Pin it at |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The viral load sample journey | The stages, the two intake routes, who does what | Anywhere in the lab |
| 2. Register a test request | The request form, field by field | The data entry desk |
| 3. Batch samples and run the analyzer | Building a batch, the batch PDF, loading the analyzer | The analyzer |
| 4. Capture results: three methods | Interface Tool, file import, manual entry | The analyzer and the data entry desk |
| 5. Approve and release results | Approval checks, printing, emailing | The supervisor's desk |
| 6. Failed, rejected, lost, or cancelled? | Choosing the right action, retesting, recovery | The supervisor's desk |
| 7. Sample statuses at a glance | Every status and its effect on reports | Anywhere in the lab |
For the machine¶
Six cards covering installing, updating, backing up and restoring. Keep them with the machine, not in a drawer in another room: card 5 is needed on a day when the machine cannot show it.
| Card | Covers | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. One command runs the machine | The intelis menu, and how often to do each thing |
Whoever looks after the machine |
| 2. Install InteLIS on a new machine | The three lines to type, and what setup asks | Whoever installs it |
| 3. Update InteLIS | intelis update, what to check before and after |
Whoever looks after the machine |
| 4. Backups | Setting a destination, and the weekly ten-second check | Whoever looks after the machine |
| 5. Restore from a backup | Restoring in place, and rebuilding a machine that died | Keep printed and near the machine |
| 6. When something is wrong | Reading intelis check, and what to send support |
Anyone, before calling support |
